The groundbreaking ceremony for the Arequipa Peru Temple has been announced for Saturday, March 4, 2017. Elder Carlos A. Godoy, president of the South America Northwest Area, will preside. The ceremony will be transmitted via internet to stake centers within the proposed temple district.

Returned Missionaries Visit Arequipa Peru Temple Site
On Saturday, August 16, a group of returned missionaries from the Peru Lima South Mission gathered to the site of the Arequipa Peru Temple, located at the entrance to the quiet village of Carmen Alto. As of yet, no groundbreaking date or construction timeline has been announced.
