158th Operating Temple Dedicated in Meridian, Idaho
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, second counselor in the First Presidency, dedicated the Meridian Idaho Temple today in three sessions at 9:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 3:00 p.m. He addressed the audience gathered for the cultural celebration last night, featuring nearly 6,000 youth participants.

Public Open House Concludes for the Meridian Idaho Temple
Today marks the final day for the public open house of the Meridian Idaho Temple. The cultural celebration will be held in one week at Boise's Taco Bell Arena, featuring 6,000 youth including an 1000-voice choir. The temple dedication will follow the next day on Sunday, November 19.

Practices To Begin for the Meridian Idaho Temple Youth Cultural Celebration
Youth in the Meridian Idaho Temple District will soon begin practices for the cultural celebration that will precede the temple dedication. All youth ages twelve to eighteen are invited to participate as either singers or dancers. Weekly rehearsals begin September 13 and continue through November 15. A full dress rehearsal is planned for the day of the event.

Parking Lot Lighting Installation at Meridian Temple
The latest webcam view of the Meridian Idaho Temple shows that lampposts are being installed atop the concrete cylinders that were poured weeks earlier in the parking lot area. The temple will offer plenty of parking spaces for patrons, which will also be shared with the stake center.

Visitors' Trailer Opens at the Meridian Idaho Temple Construction Site
The missionary couple overseeing the construction of the Meridian Idaho Temple has received approval to open their on-site trailer to visitors of the construction site. A young man's Eagle Project will eventually produce a viewing stand next to the trailer. There is not too much that can be seen at the moment, as work is still progressing on the temple foundation and underground utilities.

Construction Approval Upheld for Meridian Idaho Temple
At the end of a four-hour public hearing last night, construction approval for the Meridian Idaho Temple was upheld by the Ada County commissioners in a 2-0 vote. A resident had filed an appeal on the grounds that the project would create an adverse impact on the enjoyment of her property.

On Wednesday, October 23, a public hearing will be held for the Meridian Idaho Temple due to an appeal that was filed after the project was approved by the Ada County Planning and Zoning Commission on August 8. The temple site is located on N Linder Rd, just north of Chinden Blvd.

It was standing room only at a public hearing held last night for the Meridian Idaho Temple. Supporters turned out in droves for the 4½-hour meeting, which resulted in a 3-2 vote in favor of the temple plans with a restriction on lighting after 10:00 p.m. limited to ground level.

The Church has designated the location of the Meridian Idaho Temple as 7345 N Linder Rd, just north of the intersection of N Linder Rd and Chinden Blvd. The Meridian temple and Boise Idaho Temple—currently undergoing renovation—will both serve members in the Treasure Valley.
