Construction of Port-au-Prince Haiti Temple Moving Ahead
The construction team at the Port-au-Prince Haiti Temple has set up trailers and is preparing the site for the temple footings and foundation. In addition to rough grading, the site has been staked, and excavation is underway. The temple will stand behind the chapel on Route de Freres.

In just three months the groundbreaking ceremony for the Port-au-Prince Haiti Temple will be held, marking the formal commencement of construction. Heavy equipment is on site (behind the Route de Freres chapel) as ground is cleared and prepared for services.

Groundbreaking Announced for Port-au-Prince Haiti Temple
On Saturday, October 28, 2017, Elder Walter F. González of the Seventy and president of the Caribbean Area will preside at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Port-au-Prince Haiti Temple. Services are to be transmitted by internet to meetinghouses within the proposed temple district.
