133rd Operating Temple Dedicated in the Philippines
On Sunday, June 13, President Thomas S. Monson dedicated the Cebu City Philippines Temple—the country's second temple. The new temple will cut travel time and expenses for members who live in the Visayas and Mindanao island groups. The temple is the 133rd operating temple worldwide.

The First Presidency has released the opening dates for the Cebu City Philippines Temple—the Philippines' second temple. The open house will be held Friday, May 21–Saturday, June 5, 2010 (except Sundays). The temple will be dedicated in three sessions on Sunday, June 13, 2010.

Construction Workers Take Practice Runs Placing Moroni
At the Cebu City Philippines Temple, construction workers were given a chance to practice placing the angel Moroni by using an unfinished statue, which was installed and then removed. Raising of the gold-leafed statue is expected to take place at the conclusion of the exterior stone installation.

At the Cebu Philippines Temple construction site, erected scaffolding indicates that preparations are underway for the installation of the exterior granite, which will be attached to the reinforced cement walls of the temple by a stainless steel structural bracket system.
