Precast Panels Arrive at the Durban South Africa TempleThe first delivery of precast concrete panels has arrived at the Durban South Africa Temple where crews have bolted the first twelve to the exterior walls. The ring-beam foundation has been poured for the front veranda of the missionary housing facility, and driveway curbing is being poured.

Palm Trees Still Standing after Massive Storm in DurbanLast week's devastating storm in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal was declared a provincial disaster. The storm ravaged the area for hours pelting more than 95mm of rain and producing winds up to 70km per hour. At the Durban South Africa Temple, the palm trees still stand.

The missionary housing basement floor is finished, and work continues on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire. Foam insulation is going up while a skim coat is applied to the brick. The final piles are sunk and palm trees planted.

Durban South Africa Temple Roof Slab PouredNear the end of last week, the concrete crew arrived at the Durban South Africa Temple site with its concrete boom pump to pour the roof slab for the temple. The waterproofed exterior walls are currently covered in a black mastic, but they will turn a light shade once cladding is attached.
