President Eyring Dedicates the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
"Prophets of God have always keenly felt the Lord's desire to provide temples for His children," said President Henry B. Eyring, Second Counselor in the First Presidency, at the dedication of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple on Sunday, August 13, 2023. "I have been blessed to see how the Lord reveals the location of temples through His prophets." The new temple, located on the west side of Utah Lake, will serve the growing communities of Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, and the west side of Lehi. It is the 179th dedicated temple of the Church in operation. President Eyring encouraged Church members saying, "This temple is where you can draw more often on the powers of temple covenants. He knows your hearts. He knows your desire to be lifted and to become a more righteous people—just as the world becomes more contentious and fallen."

Media Day Held for the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Official photographs of the interior and exterior of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple were released today in conjunction with a media event to kick off the 13-week open house. The general public is invited to tour the new building beginning this Saturday through Saturday, July 8, excluding Sundays. Reservations for free tours are available now through the end of the open house.

Saratoga Springs Utah Temple Open House Reservations
Those wishing to tour the interior of the beautiful Saratoga Springs Utah Temple can now make free reservations online. The public open house begins Saturday, April 15, and continues every day through Saturday, July 8, except for Sundays. Tour times are from 9:00 a.m. to 7:55 p.m. The open house experience is available to all ages and lasts about an hour, including a short video and walking tour of the temple. Modest dress and comfortable shoes are recommended.

Open House Dates Released for the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
An open house for the newly constructed Saratoga Springs Utah Temple will begin with a media day on Monday, April 10, followed by private tours for invited guests from April 11–14, 2023. Public tours will begin on Saturday, April 15, and continue through Saturday, July 8, 2023, with no tours held on Sundays. President Henry B. Eyring of the First Presidency will preside at the dedication on Sunday, August 13, 2023. The dedicatory sessions will be broadcast to all units in the temple district at 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Meetinghouse in Use at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple Site
While interior finish work is finalized for the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple, the adjoining meetinghouse has gone into operation. Local wards now use the building for their Sunday services and weekday activities. Members are looking forward to an announcement of the open house and dedication dates for the temple, which has been under construction for three years. It is one of three temples currently under construction in Utah County.

Construction Fence Removed from the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple Site
The construction fence that has surrounded the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple site for the past three years has come down. Its function has been replaced by the ornamental fence that protects the inner grounds of the temple where beautiful trees and flowers have been planted, benches have been set in place, and flower pots have been positioned near the entrance. The parking lots have been striped including the handicap symbols. Stunning stained-glass inserts have been installed in the entrance doors. The open house and dedication dates have not yet been announced.

Lettering Painted at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Craftsmen at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple are painting the inscription lettering on the building's monument signs and entrance portico. Inside, crews are positioning furniture and hanging artwork. Landscapers have nearly finished the job of arranging functional and aesthetically beautiful grounds while punch list items are being identified to bring the temple to final completion. No dates have been announced yet for the open house and dedication.

Be Ye Therefore Followers of God, as Dear Children
A beautiful pair of antelope peacefully follow each other along the edge of a field near the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple. Hundreds of more plants have been integrated into the landscaping of the temple grounds, which grow closer to completion each day. "Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour" (Ephesians 5:1–2).

Saratoga Springs Utah Temple: A Place of Refuge from the Storm
The lighted steeple of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple is like a beacon under the approaching storm clouds. "And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain" (Isaiah 4:6). Pavers are applying a finish layer of asphalt to the parking areas, and progress is being made on landscaping the east and west plazas.

Water Feature Installed at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
The terraced water feature anchoring the entrance plaza to the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple has been installed. Pavers are being installed immediately adjacent to the temple entrance, and trees are being planted in the garden spaces on either side. On the south side, sod is being laid both inside and outside the fence line. Large homes with large windows are being constructed all around this sacred House of the Lord.

East Terrace Progressing at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
The latest aerial imagery of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple includes views of the spacious east terrace. Trees are being planted around the hardscaped areas, and black railing has been installed between the posts on the east end where the ground slopes downward. Stained glass has been installed in most of the window openings on the east wall, and finish work is advancing on the interior.

Take a Walk Around the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Winding walkways have been poured through the landscaping that lies northeast and southeast of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple, originating from the sidewalk along Ensign Drive. Retaining walls and planter boxes have been faced in ledge rock, and hardscaping is largely finished for the entrance and bridal plazas. Irrigation lines are being installed and trees are being planted in the garden spaces. Fence posts have been dropped around the immediate temple grounds, and the rails will soon be inserted.

Saratoga Springs Utah Temple: Pretty as a Postcard
A dazzling sunset engulfs the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple site where hard and soft landscaping is filling in quickly. More concrete has been poured, and hundreds of trees are being planted in garden spaces, parking lot islands, and pavement openings. Residential construction around the temple is also moving forward quickly with more and more houses appearing along Founders Boulevard and the streets that border the temple property.

Exterior Lighting Tests Begin for the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Lighting tests at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple are making this House of the Lord more beautiful than ever. Installers have already placed lights around the steeple and along the parapet. More will be added and tested in the coming days. The lamp posts that line the walkways to the entrance are also operational. The temple will serve the rapidly growing membership on the west side of Utah County.

Progress on the Entrance Plaza at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Work is progressing on the expansive entrance plaza for the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple, which will be anchored by a three-tier cascading water feature and flanked by square planters and rows of trees. Concrete-clad posts are being installed for the ornamental fencing that will enclose the grounds closest to the temple. Curved driveways on either side of the building will provide drop-off zones for those giving rides to the temple.

East Lawn in Place at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Landscaping of the vast grounds of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple continues to progress. Sod has been laid for the east lawn between the bridal plaza and the east monument sign where family and friends may wander as they wait to receive loved ones who are sealed in the temple. A temporary railing has been installed around this gathering plaza, and the retaining walls have been faced in ledge rock to match the curved wall where the monument sign sits.

Monument Sign Installed at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple Site
A monument sign for the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple has been installed on the east side of the temple grounds. It stands on a rock-faced retaining wall that will be visible to motorists traveling toward the temple on Founders Boulevard. Landscaping is progressing across the entire property. The plentiful parking for this high-capacity temple is being beautified with trees, shrubs, and mulch.

Scaffolding Removed from the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Scaffolding has been entirely removed from the exterior of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple. The beauty of the impressive edifice is now easily observed without the obstruction of scaffolds, including this view from a grassy median on Founders Boulevard. Landscapers are working quickly to establish the hard and soft elements of the attractive grounds.

Landscaping the West Entrance to the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Beautiful landscaping is filling in the garden spaces on the west side of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple grounds. Landscapers have installed sprinklers, spread mulch, planted shrubs, and laid sod. A handsome entrance wall, clad in ledge rock, sits directly across from the island that divides the incoming and outgoing lanes. Lamp posts line the walkways leading toward the temple.

Angel Moroni Added to the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
A gold-leafed figure of the angel Moroni was set atop the newly installed spire on the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple this afternoon. Moroni has been long-standing symbol of the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ. "Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people" (Revelation 14:6).

Saratoga Springs Utah Temple Spire Installed
The Saratoga Springs Utah Temple grew a little taller this morning when a metal spire was lifted and installed atop the body of the steeple. The tiered, lattice-patterned spire gradually tapers to a point with a round opening on top where the rod attached to the base of the angel Moroni statue will be inserted. The steeple sits directly over the Celestial Room of the temple.

Ornamental Panels Installed at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
A set of superbly crafted ornamental panels has been installed at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple between rows of windows. The artistic scene depicts the natural beauty and life in the area including the mountains, the lake, marsh grasses, and a pair of great blue herons—the same bird used in the city's logo. With custom details and artwork featured throughout the temple, the sacred structure will feel distinctly "Saratoga Springs."

Landscaping the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple Grounds
Hardscaping and softscaping is progressing each day at the grounds of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple. On the west side, concrete structures have been installed for planters and a water feature in front of the entrance. Sod has been laid around the meetinghouse and for the west lawn near the driveway entrance. The south parking lot has been paved, and trees and shrubs continue to be planted in the parking lot islands.

Planting Trees, Finalizing Cladding of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Scaffolding has returned around the base of the steeple atop the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple where the final pieces of precast trim are being installed. More curbing has been poured for the parking areas on the south side of the lot, and a curving retaining wall has been installed on the east side. Trees are being planted around the meetinghouse and in the islands separating the parking sections. The temple turns a warm ivory color when it catches the golden rays of the setting sun.

Trees Delivered to the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple Site
Soft landscaping is arriving at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple grounds including numerous trees that will be planted in the coming weeks and months. Cladding of the temple in precast panels is all but complete, and temporary glass has been installed in most of the window openings, placing the main focus on the interior and grounds of the temple.

Little Cladding Remains to Be Done for the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Cladding of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple has reached the top of the steeple on the east and south sides, leaving few panels to be attached before the precast exterior is finished. Temporary glass is being installed in the window openings to enclose the building and allow more of the interior work to progress. Homes are being constructed along both sides of Founders Boulevard—the street that leads to the temple from the highway.

Inspiring Progress on the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
Cladding of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple is steadily moving up the steeple frame. The windowed tower will sit directly over the Celestial Room and bring in natural light. A tapered, patterned spire supporting a fiberglass figure of the angel Moroni will be attached to the top. Inside the building, framing and utility runs are underway.

Inscription Stones Installed at the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple
The inscription stones that sit over the front portico of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple have been installed, bearing the sacred words: Holiness to the Lord ♢ The House of the Lord. Cladding of the entrance structure was recently completed while cladding of the steeple continues. The Red Cliffs Utah Temple, under construction in St. George, will share a floor plan similar to the plan for the temple in Saratoga Springs.

Progress has also been made on cladding the entrance facades and porticos on the east and west sides of the building. Temporary glass is being installed in the window openings to enclose the structure, as work begins to shift to the temple interior.
